Every learner deserves a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

Did you know? UNESCO identifies safe and inclusive learning environments as the foundation of quality education, linking them to improved learning outcomes, greater equity, better health and well-being, stronger resilience, and lifelong success for all learners (UNESCO, 2024).

This year’s theme, Creating Safe Spaces for Inclusive and Equitable Education, is a call to action for educators, policymakers, researchers, advocates, and communities to work together to create learning environments where every learner feels safe, valued, and empowered to succeed. It reminds us that inclusion should not be an aspiration but the standard.

Since its inception, WC4E’s Conferences have brought together women leaders and education stakeholders to share ideas, build meaningful partnerships, and inspire action that strengthens education systems. Each conference builds on the last, creating a growing community of changemakers committed to advancing equitable and inclusive education. In 2024, under the theme Women Influencing Education and Innovation for Social Change, participants explored how women-led initiatives are transforming education and unlocking lasting social change.

The impact of that conference extended well beyond the event itself. Ninety-eight percent of participants rated their overall experience positively, and many left with clear plans to strengthen their organizations, mobilize resources, build partnerships, and launch new education initiatives. As one participant reflected, “The Women Changemakers Conference was a transformative experience that opened my eyes to the best strategies in mobilizing resources.” Another shared, “I got inspired and discovered how my little initiative can contribute to the greater good of society.” These reflections show that the conference is more than a space for dialogue. It is a place where ideas become action, connections become collaborations, and inspiration leads to measurable impact.

This year, we invite you to be part of that journey. Whether you are an educator, researcher, policymaker, student, development practitioner, or passionate advocate for education, your perspective matters. Join us as we learn from one another, exchange ideas, and work together to create education systems where every learner can thrive.
