Buoyant Future Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of the Member of Parliament for Gomoa West and GIFEC-Gomoa West, is partnering with Rural Coders Society, a United States-based organization, to organize the Code Without Borders Bootcamp, focused on Web Development and an Intensive Microsoft Excel Masterclass.

The initiative is designed to promote digital literacy in rural communities while equipping participants with practical, in-demand skills that can contribute to education, employment, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.

The three-week training programme will cover:

Week 1: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Basics
Week 2: Project Building
Week 3: Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, charts, dashboards, VLOOKUP, and budgeting

The bootcamp begins on 17 August 2026, with sessions running from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the CIC Center, Gomoa West, Apam.

No prior experience is required, and the training is completely free. Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate.

The programme brings together the expertise and support of Hon. Richard Gyan Mensah, Member of Parliament for Gomoa West and Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition; Joseph Morris Tetteh, GIFEC Coordinator, Gomoa West; Sophie Gwak, Executive Director of Rural Coders Society; and Agnes Etuah, Founder and Executive Director of Buoyant Future Foundation.

Through this collaboration, the partners seek to expand access to digital skills in rural Ghana, bridge the digital divide, and create greater opportunities for young people and community members to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
