Women in Education Conference

Coming up: our 3rd Women Changemakers for Education Conference in Accra, Ghana! With the theme “Shaping Safe Spaces for Equitable, Inclusive Education,” the conference will unite leaders in education, policymakers, government representatives, development partners, and WC4E Fellows and Mentors to advance bold, practical solutions for inclusive education in Ghana. We will also celebrate the graduation of the Cohort 3 Fellows, who have worked tirelessly to coordinate the conference!

Sponsorship Levels:

Changemaker Sponsor: $1,000

Supports the event's highest-priority needs, funding educators, advocates, and grassroots leaders from across Ghana to come together in Accra. We will mail you a special token of our appreciation!

Empowerment Sponsor: $500

Funds transport for one Fellow, allowing her to participate and celebrate her graduation from WC4E.

Inclusion Sponsor: $250

Funds one panelist or speaker, bringing crucial expertise to the conference community.

Catalyst Sponsor: $100

Funds materials for panel or workshop, fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment.

Previous Conferences

In 2024, Cohort 2 hosted our 2nd conference with the theme "Women Influencing Education and Innovation for Social Change." Designed, coordinated, and executed by Fellows, the conference was a great success! It was attended by over 100 participants including WC4E Mentors, representatives of the Department of Social Welfare, foundations, corporations, and female entrepreneurs. Breakout sessions included "Mobilizing Teams, Beneficiaries, Community, and Funds," "The Impact of Small Initiatives in Contributing to Education in Ghana," interviews with guests speakers, and more! As one Cohort 2 Fellow remarked about the event, "great conversations, amazing people, and inspiring journey."

Our first ever conference was held in 2022, organized by the first WC4E Cohort. A hybrid (Zoom and in person) event, it featured the work of the Fellows on the ground and tied it to overarching theme of "The Future of Education." This conference also marked the graduation of Cohort 1 Fellows. celebrated with a certificate ceremony. Participants enjoyed panels on "Providing Quality and Accessible Early Childhood Education for Marginalized Families," "Innovative Methods for Advancing Education for Rural Populations," and "The Power of Technology for Inclusive Education."
