🎉 Celebrating 5 Years of Women Changemakers for Education 🎉

This year marked a powerful milestone for Women Changemakers for Education (WC4E) as we celebrated five years of impact, growth, and collective action. It began as a bold vision and now, has evolved into a vibrant and expanding community of fellows, partners, and allies committed to reimagining education and advancing opportunities for women and youth.

Over the past five years, our Fellows and Alumnae have launched transformative projects, forged meaningful collaborations, and driven change within their communities and across borders. Their courage, creativity, and commitment continue to affirm the importance of this movement and the power of women-led change in education.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has walked this journey with us- our fellows, mentors, partners, supporters, and friends. Your belief in the mission has been instrumental to our growth and impact.

As we celebrate this milestone, we look ahead with renewed purpose and optimism. Here’s to the next five years of deepened impact, bold ideas, and unstoppable change.

#Giving Tuesday

It’s been another successful year of Giving Tuesday and it’s all thanks to you!

We raised a grand total of $5,985, including a generous match from Global Giving. With your support, we will be able to expand our next cohort by 20%. This means 2 new Fellows will join us in July, 2026. 🎉

In case you missed Giving Tuesday, it’s not too late. We are within range of our 5th Anniversary $50,000 goal, and we hope that those of you who can will help us cross the finish line.

🏆 Recognitions & Awards 🏆

We’re so proud of our WC4E alum Saraswati Efua Arthur (Cohort 1), founder of The Reading Factory, for being selected as a Chevening Scholar at the University of Sussex.

Agnes Etuah (Cohort 3), founder of Buoyant Youth Foundation, was selected for the youth SDGs Accelerator Workshop.

It’s been an exciting year for Saraswatu Arthur, (Cohort 1) founder of The Reading Factory, as she coordinated the 2025 Inclusive Reading and Arts Festival. The events celebrated  literacy, inclusivity, and the power of education to transform communities.

Thanks to the leadership of Portia Dumba (Cohort 3) and her foundation, Porducare Touchlife, children in Domangburi now have bright, welcoming classrooms to learn in. With added support from Women Changemakers for Education, a space that once made learning difficult has been transformed into one that inspires confidence and joy.

Quite the year for Portia Dumba (Cohort 3), founder of Porducare Enterprise, as she was  honoured at the Africa Entrepreneurs Alliance Night of Excellence 2025. The nomination was made by virtue of a witness to her commitment to empowering rural women, advancing sustainable shea butter production, and uplifting girls through community initiatives.

Hope for That Child Foundation, founded by Nimatu Siisu (Cohort 1), recently celebrated a decade of transforming lives through Education and Mentoring under the theme; Nurturing Dreams Shaping the Future. As part of the celebration, the foundation awarded 100 needy but brilliant students with some educational materials, boosting their aptitude for learning and uplifting the standard of education in the North Gonja District

🌟  Mentor Appreciation 🌟

Our mentors are the quiet force behind so much of the growth, confidence, and impact we see in our Fellows. Through their time, guidance, and lived experience, they create safe spaces for learning, reflection, and bold leadership.

We are deeply grateful to every mentor who has poured into WC4E over the years. Your belief in women’s leadership and education continues to shape futures and strengthen this movement. Thank you for showing up, leading with heart, and making lasting impact.
