Hiqmat Sungdeme Saani
As a Women Changemakers for Education Fellow and the Founder of Paahibu Space, Hiqmat's main goal is to reclaim tech power, economic independence and educational access to communities to build their agency, voice, resilience and the sustained improvement in their quality of life. She does this by committing to empowering and shaping women and girls in Ghana and Africa through technology, education entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion.
Growing up in the Upper West Region of Ghana, Hiqmat witnessed the determination of women in her community. This lived reality and personal experience inspired her to establish Paahibu Space as an organization that not only builds skills but also opens doors to economic independence, leadership and educational access for women across Ghana. Paahibu Space educates, empowers, equips, shapes and inspires women entrepreneurs with the competencies to use technology to improve their businesses, education and leadership while addressing major barriers to their success and underrepresentation in STEAM and leadership. The goal is to break down barriers, grow more informed, cultivate economic independence, educational access, financial inclusion and increase the participation of women and girls in the digital economy as equal creators and consumers of technology, enabling community resilience by nurturing and shaping women leaders and innovators equipped to make a difference with local solutions that address global challenges.
